- Plays drums for a classic rock & blues band, Betty Calling
- Plays for Praise & Joy at the First Lutheran Church
- Enjoys working out, including Pilates and yoga, lifting weights, spinning and biking, snow and water skiing, and playing in a basketball league
- Continues to take online classes in various studies related to health and diet
- Loves to travel, especially road trips to various bicycle trails
- Recently moved to downtown Cedar Rapids and enjoys the life it brings, concerts, dining, theater, and the market
